INTRODUCING THE COYOTE

Nicknamed ‘El Coyote’ (The Coyote), Valentin Perrone is a motorcycle rider from Argentinian/Catalan heritage, born on December 28th, 2007, in Calafell, a small village of Catalunya in Spain. The young boy rode his first minibike at the age of 3, when his father decided to teach Valentin his passion for motorcycles in a parking lot. Quickly, Perrone loved the two wheels, and all the family put all their effort into trying to give Valentin the chance to develop his talent. From 2014, the young boy moved through the Spanish regional and national competitions, until he was given a shot to compete in the European Talent Cup in 2023. He finished 19th that season, but a podium on the season finale caught the eye of the recruiters for the following season…

2024: AN EMERGING TALENT

Renewed for a second year in 2024 with his team in the European Talent Cup, ‘El Coyote’ entered the much-coveted Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup in 2024, where he made a name for himself. He emerged as one of the standout names in the competition by winning in Mugello and Misano, and making four further rostrum appearances on his way to 3rd in the final standings. He also finished 5th of the ’24 European Talent Cup category as part of the FIM JuniorGP series, and he picked up four trophies, including a win in the last round of the season in Estoril.

2025: WELCOME TO MOTO3™!

The stunning 2024 season of Valentin Perrone caught the eye of Tech3’s team principal Hervé Poncharal who immediately liked the young Argentinian, and he offered him a ride for 2025. Valentin was a Moto3™ rookie in 2025, as he shared the pit box with Jacob Roulstone at the rebranded Red Bull KTM Tech3 Moto3™ squad. The young ‘Coyote’ quickly caught the eyes of all with impressive beginnings in the lightweight class, as he showcased incredible capacity of adaptation to the category, despite no previous experience on a Moto3. After a few rounds, he was already racing at the front, and he quickly became a podium contender. At the British Grand Prix, Valentin secured his first top 5 in what was only round 7. From that moment, the number 73 was consistently racing at the front, although his lack of experience often cost him a podium within the final laps of the races. Eventually, things came together at the Dutch Grand Prix as the young rookie took his maiden Moto3™ podium in Assen with a 3rd place. Valentin headed to summer showing really good form, and he took another podium with a P2 at the Hungarian Grand Prix in August. He also showed great talent in qualifying, with 2 pole positions in Austria and Misano. The overseas rounds turned out to be a bit trickier for the young rookie who lost the good momentum from the summer, but still, he managed to seal a top 10 in the championship at the season finale in Valencia, with 134 points scored overall. Solid rookie season for Perrone, who will now head to 2026 eager to fight for the championship with Red Bull KTM Tech3.
