2025, you have been a rollercoaster, but we loved it all! 22 rounds across the globe and many memories made for the Red Bull KTM Tech3 Moto3™ squad, all wrapped up with the 7th place in the teams' championship with a total of 215 points scored. With his 10th position today, Valentin Perrone successfully secured the top 10 in the championship with 134 points, and it was also a Sunday full of emotions on the other side of the pit box, as Jacob Roulstone completed his final race with the squad in Valencia, which he finished in 16th.

Grand Prix of Valencia

Valentin Perrone is officially no longer a Moto3™ rookie, as the young Argentinean completes his first season in the lightweight class in the top 10, highlighted by two podiums and two pole positions. Ready to race for the last time this year, Valentin lined up in 8th on the grid at 11:00 local time. At the lights out, it was poleman Adrian Fernandez who came out on top after the first two corners, as he led teammate David Almansa, and Maximo Quiles. Valentin Perrone kept his grid position after the first corners, but then he gained one position to 7th over Taiyo Furusato in the opening lap, and two more to 5th shortly after. Positions were tight within the leading group, with many overtakes, and we saw Valentin smooth things down a bit, as he dropped to 7th. While Fernandez still had not quite made the gap at the front as Quiles did not let him go, the group remained close, but Perrone had dropped to 10th though, just behind Angel Piqueras. Halfway through, Valentin still held his position in 10th, but he had completely lost contact with the group head following a small mistake, as he found himself 2.7 seconds off Marco Morelli. 5 laps remained, and we had a front group of 5 riders leading the rest by 1.3 seconds. Valentin had dropped to 12th as he struggled to handle the tire drop in the last laps. He managed to gain one position in the final laps to see the checkered flag of the Grand Prix of Valencia in 11th, but he was promoted to 10th in the end following a penalty given to another rider post-race.

Starting from 23rd for his last dance with the team, Jacob Roulstone had already gained 5 positions in the opening lap as he entered lap 2 in 18th behind Hakim Danish. After 3 laps, Jacob was up to 16th, riding a solid early pace that allowed him to keep the contact with his group. The Aussie made a top 15 entrance on lap 10, and he continued to progress, to sit in 13th after 11 laps, with his teammate Perrone just less than 2 seconds ahead. Great first half so far for Roulstone, who had already gained 10 positions. Jacob fought through the pain from his injured-hand, as we saw him struggle to hold his pace, and he had dropped back to 17th 5 laps later. The Australian fought back as much as he could, and he eventually took the final checkered flag of 2025 in 16th, at the doors of the points. He wraps up the season in 16th with a total of 61 points scored.

The whole Red Bull KTM Tech3 team would like to thank Jacob Roulstone for these two years together. It has been a ride, and we were very proud to be part of your beginnings in the Moto3™ category in 2024, before our adventure together continued this season. There have been ups and downs, but we learnt a lot together, and we have two years of memories that we will always cherish. We all wish you the very best for your future, and to your mother, Leah, who has been so kind, and a friend to many of us.

Finally, a big thank you to everyone involved in the Moto3™ team for another great season together, and we wish the very best to Antonio Mena Montes and Marc Vidal Botella, leaving us for new adventures in the paddock. Have a great winter all, and see you on track in 2026!

VALENTIN PERRONE: "It was a difficult race for us. I struggled at the start, I lost some positions, but I managed to make good overtakes in the first lap to keep contact with the riders at the front. Shortly after, I had a little save and I lost some time on the others, it was difficult to catch them, and my pace dropped. I gave my 100%, it was not the position we wanted, but it is part of the process. Overall, it has been a good season with a top 10 in the championship filled with a lot of learning. I believe we did a great job with my team, and we will now focus on winter preparation to arrive at the pre-season stronger than ever."

JACOB ROULSTONE: "It was probably one of the hardest races I have ever done. I gave it my all although the hand was painful, I was trying to stretch it in the straights when I could to try to save as much energy as I could for the end. I am pleased to have finished the race though, even if it is not how I wanted to end the season. I am very proud though to have been able to race here in Valencia. It was not the easiest weekend, it was not the easiest year either, but the team and I gave it everything. I want to thank the boys and everyone in Tech3 for these two seasons, and also a big thank you to Hervé for giving me the opportunity. I will always feel part of the Tech3 family."

HERVE PONCHARAL, Team Principal: "It was the last Moto3 race of the championship for this season, and honestly, I am a bit disappointed. Valentin Perrone was really strong this summer, and I was expecting him to grow more and more as the season went by. Somehow, he has not been the same rider since his crash in Indonesia. In Portimao and Valencia, he qualified ok, before fading during the races. We all know it was his rookie season and he had not had previous Moto3 experience, but when you look at the performances from mid-season, it is a sad way to finish the season, and I had higher expectations than P10 in the championship for him. Then, I feel very sorry for Jacob Roulstone who ended in P16 at the doors of the points today. I would have liked to at least score a few points with him, but it was not possible unfortunately. I know he is injured and he tried his best to race here for the last time with us, which we thank him for. It has been a tough season for him, with a big neck injury during the winter, and then a hand injury in Malaysia which sat him out of the Portuguese GP last week, but I know he did his best. Jacob won't race with us next season, but I truly wish him the best for whatever the future holds for him, and I hope that he will find a good place to show his potential. Thank you also to his mum Leah, who has been fantastic, and we really enjoyed these two seasons with them. I would also like to say a big thank you to the whole crew, and I wish everyone a good winter!"
