Valentin Perrone and Jacob Roulstone faced the final Moto3™ qualifying of the season on Saturday at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo. While Adrian Fernandez took the last pole at stake as he will lead David Almansa and Maximo Quiles on row 1, Perrone qualified in 8th and Roulstone in 23rd.end as a rookie.

Grand Prix of Valencia

Valentin Perrone confirmed his good sensations from Friday in FP2 this morning, when he wrapped up the last free practice session of the year with the 7th time, just 0.5 secs off the top of the timesheets. Then Q2 arrived at lunch time, and Perrone began his final qualifying session of 2025 with a 1’37.424, while rookie of the year Maximo Quiles was the first to take the top in 1’37.165. That was shortly before David Almansa stole the show with a new all-time lap record at the track in 1’37.126. Valentin was still on a provisional 3rd row at pit stop. The young rookie made no further improvement in the final time attacks, and his earlier time remained his best, one that will see him start the Grand Prix of Valencia from 8th on the grid. Eventually, Adrian Fernandez bragged the rights of the new all-time lap record with a late improvement in 1’36.990, as he became the last pole sitter of 2025!

After his first day back from injury, Jacob Roulstone arrived on Saturday with decent sensations. The Australian showed promising pace in Friday’s practice, just two weeks post-hand surgery, and he continued to improve his overall feeling with FP2 this morning. As he then faced Q1, the Aussie sat in a provisional 4th place with a 1’38.191 during the first run, and then arrived the last opportunity to try make it count. As he rejoined the action, Roulstone could unfortunately not put it all together to improve, and he dropped to the 9th place, meaning he qualified in 23rd ahead of his final race with the Red Bull KTM Tech3 team.

That’s almost it for the Moto3™ class, all that’s left to do now is race one last time! Rendez-vous on Sunday at 11:00 local time (UTC+1), as Valentin Perrone looks to secure a top 10-finish in the championship, while Jacob Roulstone aims to close the Tech3 adventure on a high.

VALENTIN PERRONE: "Difficult qualifying, because we struggled a bit to manage it. We tried to go out with a group, but it did not work out and we had some issues. I know we are fast though, and we have the pace to stay with the front group, so let's do our best, and try getting our first victory maybe!"

JACOB ROULSTONE: "Apologies to the team for my mistake as I did not box. I thought that I could do my lap time by myself, but I could not. It is not how we wanted the last qualifying of the year to go, but we improved some things though today. I have to think a lot overnight, and we'll give it our all tomorrow."
