#SanMarinoGP - September 7, 2024

Moto3™ opened the ball of a packed-action Super Saturday at the Gran Premio Red Bull di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, with Red Bull GASGAS Tech3’s Daniel Holgado and Jacob Roulstone contesting their 13th qualifying of 2024. After both qualified directly to Q2, Holgado matched his qualifying result from Aragón last week with another 7th place on the grid, while Roulstone will start the San Marino Grand Prix from P17.

After showing strong pace and closing day 1 in Misano in 8th with already a good feeling on both bike and track, Spaniard Daniel Holgado confirmed his form in Practice 2 fresh and early on Saturday morning, thanks to a late improvement in 1’40.575 (+0.391) that placed him P7 in the combined standings. A very hot afternoon awaited the lightweight class for Q2. Times were flying all over the place, and a final lap of Dani in 1’41.028 will see him lead the third row in 7th on Sunday, with the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 rider on the lookout for big points to remain close to the top 3 in the championship.

Just outside of the direct Q2 tickets after Practice 1 in 16th, Jacob Roulstone made the extra effort this morning to improve his fastest lap to a 1'40.961, one lap that got him in the final spot to head to the final qualifying stage, in P14. In Q2, the rookie improved lap after lap to clock in his fastest in 1’41.390, one that will see the Australian boy start the San Marino Grand Prix from P17 on Sunday, as lights will go out at 11:00 local time (GMT+2), for 20 laps of Moto3™ madness!

"Very happy with the work done with the team. We are building our weekend in a good way, the pace is positive, I feel confident on the bike. P7 is a good position, we will have to take a good start to stay with the front, and then we will have to ride smartly. Ready to fight!”

"I am disappointed with our qualifying. I am still struggling to do that one good lap needed to advance on the grid. We are working on it, and I am hoping that I am on the right path. Otherwise, the feeling is comfortable and I am happy with the morning session. I will have to work hard to try stick with the front group on Sunday, but we are very motivated!”
