#JerezTest - March 1, 2024

Pre-season testing is a wrap for the Moto3™ class after Daniel Holgado and Jacob Roulstone from Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 completed on Friday the three day-Official Jerez Test, which gave riders and teams crucial track time to get all ready to go for the 2024 season, due to start in just one week in Doha, Qatar.

Ahead of what will be a key season for Spaniard Daniel Holgado, entering his third consecutive season in the lightweight class, there was a lot of in-depth work done in the south of Spain over the last three days. Gaining as much experience on the new 2024 bike in addition to new Pirelli tyres was a double challenge for the number 96 and his technical crew. On the final day of action, Holgado added another thirty-seven laps to his counter, and clocked his fastest lap of the test in session 2, with a 1’43.869. He ended day three fifth overall, 0.593 seconds from today's fastest rider.

Jacob Roulstone completed an extremely positive test as he is now all set for his official debuts in Grand Prix. After he settled in the top 10 on both day 1 and day 2, Red Bull GASGAS Tech3’s new recruit continued to get the laps in on Friday and finalizes his bike ahead of the Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar next week. As the Lusail International Circuit is a layout that he will have to learn on the go, it was key for the young rookie to head to round one with a bike ready and a good understanding of the new tyres. He completed another fifty-six laps on Friday, with a fastest lap in 1'44.835, 1.559 secs from today's fastest time. He ends the day in P11, at the doors of the top 10. Not bad for the rookie!

Pre-season testing is officially over for us, it is time to pack and head to Qatar to do what we were born to do: RACE! Rendez-vous in Doha on March 8-10, 2024.

"We have done a really good job with the team today to conclude this Jerez Test. I like the bike a lot, we found a strong setting and we could see it because I was fast in the second session this afternoon. I am happy with the preparation we have achieved over the last three days, and we are ready to start the season strong. Time to rest a bit before we travel to Doha for the first GP of 2024!”

"Another good day with the team, and I am really happy with how things went on this final day. We worked a lot today, mainly on the race pace, with long sequences of laps, and I felt fast. We still have a few things to twist, but I could not be happier about this test and how things went for us. I am excited and looking forward to heading to Qatar next week for our first race.”

Team Manager

"I am glad to officially say that the Moto3 pre-season is finally over. Pierer Mobility Group did a fantastic job in the development of the 2024 Moto3 bike, they have built us an incredible weapon to be able to fight for our dream, which is the title. Daniel Holgado has been working really hard in Jerez, and is feeling very good on the bike, but a small mistake in Portimao last week did not allow him to be fully fit, as he was suffering a bit from his left wrist. We tried to achieve our testing program without doing too many laps, so we could spare his wrist a bit. He did a great job, and he is ready to go. He will rest at home before going to Qatar, and I am sure that he will be fully fit next week. On the other side of the garage, I have to say that I am really happy with the work achieved by our rookie Jacob Roulstone. He has done a fantastic job, has been progressing lap after lap, and he has integrated himself well within the team. A rookie season is really difficult, but he has shown us that he is a calm and smart boy, and I can say that he is ready to go too. This season will be very competitive, we have seen it with the incredible lap times this week, but we are pleased with our line up, we have a good crew, a good atmosphere, so we can do something good this year. Let's stop talking, it is time for some action now!”
