Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Deniz Öncü delivered a fantastic penultimate round of the 2020 season today in sunny Valencia. The Moto3 World Championship rookie started from P11, but lost two positions on the first lap. Yet, he was quickly fighting his way back to eighth on lap two. Öncü made up even more ground later, fighting for fourth with championship leader Albert Arenas at half distance to eventually finish in sixth, which is his best result to date.

Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Deniz Öncü showed a great performance at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo today. He topped the tricky Free Practice three session this morning and got fourth in the combined standings, which means he went straight to Q2. In the hard-fought Qualifying, the Moto3 World Championship rookie did well once again, losing out on the pole setter by just 0.451 seconds to conclude the session in 11th position.

With an impressive fastest lap of 1:38.511 minutes, Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Deniz Öncü concluded FP1 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo this morning in second position, although his weekend didn’t start ideal with a fall in the early stages. In FP2, the Moto3 World Championship rookie managed to work on his rhythm, staying fantastic fourth overall with his morning’s best.
